Bus Driving Positions
We are currently looking for motivated Men or Women to work with our team in Leeton.
About the role
We currently have multiple positions available for permanent casual and casual on-call bus drivers at our Leeton depot.
We are looking for passionate people who enjoy driving and want to service their community, whilst delivering the best experience possible to our customers.
Eligibility to apply
- A current and valid driver’s licence (Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid Licence is highly desired but not essential).
- A good driving history
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, criminal history check, and working with children check.
- Having a current NSW Driver Authority is highly desired (or be willing to obtain one)
For suitable applicants that do not have the required licence and Authority, Leeton Bus may offer you:
- Licence Upgrade training and assessment included with your employment
- Attend a Driver Authority Course to help with the application process
The majority of shifts available for full-time and casual drivers are worked as split shifts. Split shifts work by providing two portions of work to cover morning and afternoon School services.
The hours for each shift can vary but will generally require you to work between the following times:
- Morning – 8:00am – 10:00am
- Afternoon – 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Outside of these hours, you can leave the depot to head home or run errands.

Bus Driver - Position Description
Position Description:
• Drive allocated bus along specified routes as directed.
• Ensure the care, safety and comfort of our customers.
• Keep your management informed, of any issues – such as mechanical issues or late running - which may affect our services.
• Complete accident report forms, shift reports and other reports, as required.
• Report any damage or defect to the bus in the defect book.
• Collect fares & issue tickets
• Work Split shifts and other duties as directed, carrying out all shift duties and instructions, following our Policies and Procedures and the Leeton Bus Drivers Manual.
• Maintain a neat and tidy appearance
Selection Criteria
Essential
• Valid Australian or NSW driver’s licence - minimum MR.
• Valid NSW Bus Driver Authority.
• Have a good driving history.
• Able to work shift work including broken shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to perform simple mathematical calculations, read rosters, maps and timetables and follow route directions.
• Have good personal presentation.
Desirable
• Experience in bus operation.
• 2 or more years heavy vehicle driving experience.
